Frequently asked questions:
- I haven't received my verification email yet. What should I do?
Sometimes the email might be delayed, so please be patient. If you are using yahoo, aol or hotmail services - consider using a different email address, as their delays are longer than usual.
Please also be sure not to use a school-based email (an email address provided by your school), and use a personal email instead. - I can't get an appointment with my doctor in time for the deadline - what should I do?
The medical form is one of the required documents in order to submit an application - it should be submitted by the deadline. - Can I still apply after the deadline?
It's best to contact the program in question first, to make sure they are still accepting applications. If they give you the go-ahead, you can apply here. - I am finished my application but do not have the recommendations or transcript yet - and these are not things I can upload myself. What should I do?
The transcript and at least 2 recommendations are required information for the application, which cannot be submitted without them. It remains your responsibility to make sure these are submitted or provided to you. The transcript is generally uploaded by your high school and you may clarify with your school office or guidance counselor to verify is they are doing this for you. Directly contact your references if need be, to check if the recommendations have been submitted. - How do I know if my references have submitted recommendations?
This information is visible on your main page after having logged in, next to the 'recommendation' item on the list. You should also receive an email notification when the recommendation is received in the system. - How should my school or I send the transcripts?
Most high schools have direct access to their own interface, through which they can upload files directly into your application. Please speak to your guidance counselor and make sure they have this access, and if not - they are welcome to reach out to us to request this. - I don't have a passport
yet, or have applied for a passport, but do not have it yet. How should I fill out the mandatory fields?
The scan of your passport is mandatory, but is not required in order to submit your initial application. As soon as you have it - upload it to the site.
The passport number and expiration date fields are mandatory, but you can enter 'N/A' into those fields until you have this information. - Is a resume required?
A resume is not required, but you are welcome to upload additional information if you feel will enrich your application. - How much is the application fee?
Each program ser's its own amount and payment methods, and the site will prompt you accordingly. The various application fees can be viewed here. - I am from the UK. What transcript can I provide?
UK Students should provide either the GCSE results or alternatively the predicted grades for A level, which most schools will have ready aroound December. - I only received confirmation by email from some of the programs I am applying to, not all. I am concerned that not all the programs have received my application.
The information on the site is the most accurate. If the site shows that the application has been sent in to all the programs you applied to, you can rest assured that its been received, even if you have not received an email confirmation. - On the site, not all of the programs I paid, actually show that the payment has been received. I am concerned that they have not received my payment.
Sometimes it will take the program offices a few days to process application payments, especially towards the application deadline. If it is still not showing as 'received' within a few days, reach out to the program in question to query your payment. Attach details about the date and method of payment so that they can follow up for you.
